The one thing I know is that feelings are rarely mutual
But when they are
take a step forward and
run and collide
My name is Richella Kläring, 34 years old, born and raised in the south of the Netherlands and for several years now Rotterdam has been my home.
I am a caring creative with a passion for videography, music, stories, art and poetry.
In addition to working as a videographer, I also work as a nurse. Two different things, but it turn out to be an ideal combination to be both service-oriented and creative. Especially in contexts involving significant life moments. Whether it's providing caree during times of illlness or capturing cherished memories on film, both roles allow me to serve others during important moments in their lives. I meet many people with extraordinary stories full of emotion and feeling.
A wedding day to me is something magical. You could talk to me for hours about weddings, the value of film and how beautiful it is that love can be captured as a lifelong memory.
With an eye for detail, searching for beauty in every moment.
I wasn't born with a camera in my hand, but like many I am a lover of films and stories. In recent years, I've started filming before taking photo's when I go somewhere.
I like to explore places that give me a new sense of homecoming, and with the right words, I give them a special place in my memories.
In the past, we didn't have a videocamera, and smartphones didn't exist in my childhood. That's why there are no video's from that time, no lifelike memories of people and moments that were so dear to me and are no longer there. And for me, it's a big loss.
I think that's why I value moving images and sound so much, because film can offer something in a way that a photo can not.
Since 2022, I have been devoloping myself in wedding videography. I started at a wedding where I was maid of honor, with a small camera meant to take photo's during the party. There was so much beauty to film, but the couple didn't have a videographer. I made a wedding clip, without knowing how videographers actually did this at a wedding. The reactions that followed were so positive which motivated me to develop myself in videography and the more the love for wedding films grew.
From then on, I saw something poetic in all sorts of things, something that could be made into a film. And it was also noticed by others. But it weren't weddingfilms yet.
The first weddingfilm was made that year and it was one of the most beautiful days of that year. A day I look back on with a very pleasant feeling. It became more clear what a weddingfilm should look like: an ode to love. Romantic and captivating.
Hopefully, my enthusiasm is contagious, so that no one has to regret not having a weddingfilm made afterwards. But i also realize very well that it's not obvious to be present at these life events.
I am very grateful, and I enjoy the happiness that I get to see through the lens of my camera.
I would love to be the one at your wedding who gets to capture the story of your love, which you and the next generations will look back on for years to come.
Love ,
Richella
